The style of our work is equal parts sophisticated and approachable. It is romantic in a Kathleen Kelly and Joe Fox kind of way. It is transportive. We believe that a single photograph has the power to take you back to exactly how you felt in that moment. We achieve this best by blending seamlessly into your day. We act as documenters and guides to enjoy your wedding celebration as it unfolds. It’s basically the best job
ever and our biggest privilege. In order to serve our clients well, we value getting to know one another along the way. This helps us serve you, not only as an observer, but also a caretaker of your most precious moments. Pair this with our uncanny ability to insert a "Friends" reference whenever we need to evoke a genuine laugh, and we’ll call it kismet.
What I want to do? Have you over for dinner and make you a bowl of fresh spaghetti and get to chatting. There's nothing better than great conversation over a dinner table.
What I actually do? We talk. Relationships are of the utmost importance in my line of work. If I know who you are, who matters to you, your personality, I can photography you in a really genuine way.
I tailor every wedding package to meet my clients needs. No two weddings are alike, so our offerings look very different from package to package.
More of our couples are opting out of engagement sessions and swapping for rehearsal dinner coverage. However, this is still something I like to offer.
When it comes to the planning portion of your day, we love to be as involved as you'd like. We assist you with your timeline creation, collect all the important details, and ensure we know what matters most to you and your families!
Your wedding day is finally here! Andrew and I are so thrilled to work together with your vendor team to create the best experience possible for you as you celebrate alongside your family and friends. We aim to blend in seamlessly whenever we can to capture those moments in between that are so transportive. It's our biggest honor to be the memory keepers for you!
We provide all of the edited images from your wedding celebration in an online gallery. This makes it simple for you to share with your guests and order prints! We can't wait for you to start reliving your wedding day all over again!
One of the things we love most about our clients is that they love a good story. What better way to display the story of your wedding day than in a beautiful, legacy album? It's a tangible and physical representation of one of your forever favorite days.
Kimmie photographed our wedding in Charleston, South Carolina during a very difficult time for my family. We had lost my dad just several months prior to the wedding day, so we were feeling all sorts of emotions that weekend. Kimmie floated in and, without skipping a beat, put everyone at ease. She is such a kind, caring person, and she made everyone feel so incredibly comfortable. Most importantly, she captured some very special moments between me, my husband, and my family. We had a somewhat unconventional, rustic lowcountry wedding, and she captured the ambiance so vividly that we re-live the wedding every time we look at her pictures! In terms of quality, Kimmie is absolutely outstanding. When we first showed family and friends the pictures, they all said the same thing: "these look like they came from a magazine!" I cannot say enough good things about Kimmie - as a person, and as a photographer. She is hands down the best decision we made with respect to our wedding.
Kimmie and her husband Andrew shot our wedding in Orange, VA in October 2018. Kimmie was one of the first vendors we booked, and we could not have been more happy with our decision! She was attentive, responsive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond more than once (everything from helping me with my wedding timeline to texting re: weather options the week before the wedding).
As anyone will tell you, your photographer is someone that you will spend a lot of time with on your wedding day itself. If you're looking for someone positive, fun, and comfortable, pick Kimmie. She took the time to understand family dynamics, get to know the names of my bridesmaids, and was there to help with anything that I needed. So above and beyond! After our ceremony, we wanted to take photos up on a hill. We were waiting too long for a golf cart, so Kimmie and Andrew drove us in their own car!
Of course, though, what it all comes down to is the photos. We received our photos just two short weeks after the wedding, and we could not have been happier! We've received so many compliments from our family and friends as to how nicely the pictures turned out and how well Kimmie captured the day.
Her style of photography is beautiful and she is even better to work with. I had her pose as a magazine photographer during our proposal (Acting Skills: A+), then she traveled to New York City for our engagement session, then when I asked last minute if she could be there for the rehearsal dinner, her answer was OF COURSE, and then finally our wedding day. Kimmie is so talented and has such a great eye for details. She knows exactly how to instruct you to pose to get all the photos you dreamed of.
One thing during wedding planning I didn’t realize is how much time you spend with your photographer on the day of your wedding. Kimmie and her husband Andrew were the perfect people to spend our day with. Emma had a problem with her bouquet and Kimmie stepped right in and made sure it was exactly what Emma was looking for. We could not have been happier to have Kimmie there with us for every step from proposal to “I do.”
I could not recommend working with her more! The hardest part about working with Kimmie is that once the wedding is over you will miss working with her! Luckily she does portrait sessions and you will be able to keep up with her life through Instagram :).
